Lár na Páirce Museum are happy with the success of their first ever Memorabilia Fair, held in Thurles Sarsfields Social Centre on Nov. 30th 2014. Close to two hundred people attended and they came from as far apart as Antrim and Cork, Galway and Wexford.
Brisk business was done by over twenty stalls on the day.
One of the highlights of the occasion was the display of Eddie Maher’s many scrapbooks, which attracted the interest of many of the attendance.
The venue proved to be very satisfactory with plenty of space available, free parking and adequate facilities for eating and drinking.
The organisers were also happy that the time of year was perfect for such an event and that Thurles was an ideal geographical location.
Plans are in hand to make this an annual event, so mark the last Sunday of November in your diary for the 2015 Memorabilia Fair.
