Noel O’Donoghue (born 1939), Dublin, was a referee.
He refereed the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Finals in 1980 and 1982.
O’Donoghue’s retirement from refereeing was not the end of his involvement in it; he served on the the National Referees Advisory Council as well as the Dublin and Leinster Referees Administrative Councils. He has also served on the National Coaching Council.
One of Noel’s whistles is on display in Lár na Páirce, in the “Knights of the Whistle” exhibit.
