On this Sunday, Semple Stadium hosts the Allianz National Hurling League final between Clare and Waterford, refereed by Brian Gavin, Offaly. Two weeks ago both teams played scintillating hurling in accounting for Kilkenny and Limerick respectively. The quality of the hurling on the day was more like what one would expect in high summer than in the month of April. A tremendous contest is expected with an estimated twenty thousand supporters in attendance. Extra time will be played if necessary.
This game commences at 3.30 p.m. and is preceded at 1.30 p.m. by the Irish Daily Star National Camogie League Division 1 final between Galway and Kilkenny, refereed by Cathal Egan.
